Health alphabet #1 Vitamin D3
Yes, yes, it’s not a mistake that I start the health alphabet with vitamin D3 and not with vitamin A 😉* The most important,* the most underrated* its deficiency causes serious diseases* and we usually have too little of this vitamin 🙁 Let’s start from scratch: What is this?Vitamin D, along with vitamins A, E and K, belongs to the group fat-soluble vitamins. She was discoveredonly in 1919 by Mellanbe, who for the first time the first to show that rickets could be caused by eficiencies in the diet of soluble substances in fats. Vitamin D can be supplied to the body in two ways – with food products or…

Sollifjell – a beautiful view of the Lysefjord and Preikestolen!
During our stay near Stavanger (we rented an airbnb in Jørpeland to be precise) we went to see the Lysefjord from the other side. From Jørpeland we headed south on road 523 and just after the bridge turn right into road Fv496 and drive along the Lysefjord. The end point was Skrøylå car park. From this place, keeping to the fjord all the time on the left, there is a route to Sollifjel (564 mosl) – a peak above the fjord, from which you can admire the beautiful panorama of Lysefjord and of course Preikestolen 🙂I heartily recommend this route, it is described as easy, it is not long for…

Preikestolen – route, views and a million people ;)
Preikestolen has been on my list for years – finally in May during a long weekend we went to the Stavanger area to explore the city and climb the famous stone platform. I will describe the route here – because looking for information myself – I found many different opinions about the difficulty of this route. Some said it was easy, others said it was extremely difficult. The first time – we start at approx. 11, we were at the top around 12.20. I think everyone had the same plan for this trip because there were a million people on the mountain! Ha, ha 😉 And note: I believe that…

Stavanger – colorful town :)
We took advantage of a long weekend and went to the Stavanger area to finally climb Preikestolen and see the Lysefjord. Usually we visited the North of Norway, Lofoten, Geiranger, Sognefjrd, Olden, etc. This time we chose the South – and as everywhere in Norway, the views are amazing!Below is a small photographic report from Stavanger – a charming town with lots of small boutiques (by the way, I bought a beautiful summer dress there ;), small streets and colorful houses. A style similar to Bergen, but somehow different. I recommend getting lost in the small, charming streets. And find a delicious coffe bar on the way 😉 Beautiful!

Food in plastic? NO! BPA (bisfenol A) is your poison!
The plastic monomer and plasticizer bisphenol A (BPA) is one of the highest volume chemicals produced worldwide. BPA is used in the production of polycarbonate plastics, epoxy resins used to line metal cans, and in many plastic consumer products including: cans, plastic bottles (pets), plastic food packaging, food containers, thermal paper, baby bottles, toys, water pipes, drinking containers, eyeglass lenses, sports safety equipment, dental monomers, medical equipment and tubing, and consumer electronics (1). BPA can contaminate food, beverage, air, and soil. It accumulates in several human tissues and organs and is potentially harmful to human health through different molecular mechanisms. Due to its hormone-like properties, BPA may bind to estrogen…
