Preikestolen – route, views and a million people ;)
Preikestolen has been on my list for years – finally in May during a long weekend we went to the Stavanger area to explore the city and climb the famous stone platform. I will describe the route here – because looking for information myself – I found many different opinions about the difficulty of this route. Some said it was easy, others said it was extremely difficult. The first time – we start at approx. 11, we were at the top around 12.20. Stavanger – colorful town :)
We took advantage of a long weekend and went to the Stavanger area to finally climb Preikestolen and see the Lysefjord. Usually we visited the North of Norway, Lofoten, Geiranger, Sognefjrd, Olden, etc. This time we chose the South – and as everywhere in Norway, the views are amazing!Below is a small photographic report from Stavanger – a charming town with lots of small boutiques (by the way, I bought a beautiful summer dress there ;), small streets and colorful houses. A style similar to Bergen, but somehow different. I recommend getting lost in the small, charming streets. And find a delicious coffe bar on the way 😉 Beautiful!
