Sollifjell – a beautiful view of the Lysefjord and Preikestolen!

During our stay near Stavanger (we rented an airbnb in Jørpeland to be precise) we went to see the Lysefjord from the other side. From Jørpeland we headed south on road 523 and just after the bridge turn right into road Fv496 and drive along the Lysefjord. The end point was Skrøylå car park. From this place, keeping to the fjord all the time on the left, there is a route to Sollifjel (564 mosl) – a peak above the fjord, from which you can admire the beautiful panorama of Lysefjord and of course Preikestolen 🙂
I heartily recommend this route, it is described as easy, it is not long for us in one direction, completely unhurriedly, taking pictures etc. took less than 1 hour.

ps. It can be a beautiful walk after breakfast, then you have the sun behind you when you take pictures on Preikestolen 😉
