Bergen Fjell Marathon (21,1 km)
BFM – mountain half marathon organized in Bergen is a fantastic mountain adventure!
Sweat, stones, mud and mountains – this is what you can definitely expect 🙂
This year’s edition was the 10th jubilee edition of this event and on this occasion – apart from t-shirts, medals were also distributed to everyone – lucky me!
My participation was completely devoid of competition – I know, I saw the results from previous editions and my great goal was to finish this marathon 😉
The route starts at Urliken – Montana and goes past Urliken Peak via Vidden, turning on the way to Viking Hytten, from there via Rundemannen, BlÃ¥mannen, Fløyen and ending at Skansenmyren Stadium. There are two classes of participants – turklasse and konkuransseklasse. at the halfway point in Viking hytta there was a station with water and first aid. The route was well marked, in places where the routes connected with other routes, there were volunteers helping to keep the right direction – big applause for them too! Organization at the highest level!
Big bows to all who participated and huge applause for the winners – these are real Vikings! Crazymen, made of steel! Way to go!
If you like challenges, be sure to sign up today for the next Bergen Fjell Marathon in 2024.
I know that tickets for the next edition will be sold out very soon, so you have to monitor the organizer’s website in December to buy a ticket for 2024! –
